DeMist Cottages and River Camp is located in the amazingly beautiful Gamtoos Valley, just outside Patensie.  We are a working citrus farm. Patensie is known as the Pantry of the Eastern Cape because of its abundance in the fruitful soil.  Our campsite is on the Gamtoos River and accessible by even a small sedan motor.  We offer hiking, birding, freshwater fishing, fresh air, rest, and peace. Our newest venture is the Trans Gamtoos. Slackpacking of 70km over 3 days through this amazing valley.
